Cries and Whispers is part9 of the ninefold series Powerplay. Papercloth is gelli prints on deli paper glued on muslin, and then pasted on MDF board as a canvas.
An uneven cool blue edge embraces lighter warm pink and yellow circles on the left-hand side.
A vague image of a woman wearing a sunhat in the top right-hand corner seems to be isolated from the rest.
The implied forlorn atmosphere of longing and cries is countered by soft whispers of hope, carried through the light-colored void in the middle..
